Hello all! We here at Light Thoughts are excited to announce that the LAST MAJOR UPDATE to Mr. Pompy's Extravagant Quiz is here!! While this is the last major update, there will, of course, be future patches if any bugs are noticed. Anyways, please enjoy this update as we'll be away for quite some time.

Spoilers for the update below, so be warned.

NEW:

• Achievements have now been added (Steam only).
• You can now read some of the books in Patrick's Library.
• New scares.
• Secrets are sprinkled throughout the game. Can you find them all?
• Fanart screen to showcase the community's art for the game, which can be found in the CREDITS menu once you've finished the game at least once.
• Mr. Pompy now has new animation and dialog whether you choose to trust him or not.
• Silent Mansion easter egg in PomPom's shop.
• The warning screen can be skipped via a pop-up when you first launch the game.
• You can skip the Light Thoughts intro with the "Spacebar" or by double-clicking.
• You can skip the final cutscene.
  
• You can erase your saved data in the OPTIONS menu. This excludes achievements, credits, and the warning screen.
  
• There are now tabs in the OPTIONS menu to make options more organized.
  
• New ranking: Ranking F.
  
• New fun facts on the loading screen.
  
• New nighttime variation of the stage screen, accompanied by a new nighttime track.
  
• The game doesn't return to normal after the credits. Something else happens.
  
• New animation for Mr. Pompy when you choose a topic after persisting with him.
  
• New game over variant in the broken quiz when answering a specific question wrong.
  
• New PomPom ABOUT screen line.
  
• Pompy Community is put into the SPECIAL THANKS & CREDITS screen.
  

CHANGES:

• The warning screen text has been changed slightly.
  
• Numerous graphical upgrades have been made, such as: Stage screen backgrounds (normal & broken), launcher when you're heading into Mr. Pompy's speech, Saves screen (broken only), the crazy glitch when you persist Mr. Pompy, ABOUT screen (normal & broken), and more.
  
• Quiz answers are now in random spots for every question.
  
• The broken quiz questions & answers have been tweaked to fall more in line with the lore.
  
• The "Are you comfortable?" question is now a pop-up, and your answer changes the outcome.
  
• The logo animation has been changed.
  
• Subtitles have a new style and support a new font, where, if we need to, they can support multiple languages.
  
• The broken title screen music was changed to an earlier version because the current one was too loud.
  
• The "Hidden questions" penalty has a higher chance of happening.
  
• Error messages text has been changed to make it feel more believable.
  
• The final cutscene has been remade.
  
• The ending message after the final cutscene has been changed.
  
• "Monster" portrait has been redone.
  
• ASpacedOutFlower has now been added to the Light Thoughts section of the CREDITS screen.
  
• The items container has been changed visually to make them more noticeable.
  
• Borders for the quizzes have been changed to match their setting from the topic gate.
  
• Quizzes all have a distinct color associated with them. Quiz 1 is mostly pink, and Quiz 2 is mostly blue.
  
• The retry button for the GAME OVER screen is on a cooldown to give players enough time to see their penalty before retrying.
  
• Buttons have been upgraded visually.
  
• Reanimated the C rank animation for Mr. Pompy.
  
• More Fullscreen events happen.
  
• Several sound effects have been changed/upgraded.
  
• You can use your scroll wheel for the volume in the OPTIONS menu (as well as the fanart section).
  

FIXES AND BALANCES:

• Dragging the topic-key doesn't get stuck when dragging anymore.
  
• Shorten transitioning times, such as the save files, so people don't think there's nothing there upon checking it out.
  
• Switching through the credits doesn't delete the arrows where they are supposed to show up.
  
• The "max time is 15 secs" penalty makes it so that the timer cannot exceed 15.
  
• Fixed Isaac Newton's name for Patrick's puzzle.
  
• Cutscenes and the intro have been replaced with video files to save in-game space.
  
• Background animations, specifically glitches, now have fewer animation frames.
  
• Duplicate/unused sprites have been deleted.
  
• Fixed the trash can reverting to its normal state once the mouse has lifted off its glitch state.
  
• Mr. Pompy won't break the game anymore. We think.
  

Once again, we'd like to thank everyone for enjoying Pompy and leaving your reviews! We will be taking a long break from Pompy-related stuff to recharge for when we make the full game. We will also be updating this game with bug fixes if any are found, and possibly language options.
